In November 2022, OpenAI launched its ChatGPT 3.5. The general public discovered that the artificial intelligence of Stanley Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey was now available to everyone. Some embraced this new horizon. Others did not. Three years after this breakthrough, Le Lien, Ambition Pyrénées, and UTTOP are offering a forum to share perspectives on the subject. "We invite curious people to come with their enthusiasm and share their views, experiences, and concerns. To listen to experts and discuss topics such as AI and democracy, AI and education, or AI and culture. And to participate in workshops led by people who regularly work on these subjects," explains Philippe Marrast from the Multimedia and Internet Professions department at the Tarbes University Institute of Technology (IUT). “We’re using the World Café format to create a participatory and friendly atmosphere that encourages exchange among participants, whether they’re academics, professionals, or members of the general public. It’s through this exchange that ideas will emerge that will resonate with everyone.” It takes place at Le Lien on the road to Pau in Ibos, on Fridays starting at 2 p.m. Participation in the World Café is free. And since the event emphasizes a friendly atmosphere, discussions can continue over a meal and during the musical evening. Information and reservations are available at www.hapycafe-ia.fr, a website developed by students of the IUT (University Institute of Technology).
