The new exhibition has just been hung. Let the light shine! Alongside the play of reflections on the polished metal of Philippe Gauberti's works, the gallery's owner, and Zed's flat figures, two Catalan artists are exhibiting their creations at the gallery on Avenue Bertrand Barrère. Under the gallery's spotlights, you're in for a visual feast, both literally and figuratively. First, because light floods in with Henri Iglésis's polished or painted metal Little Men. This Perpignan artist plays with apparent lightness, creating works made entirely of thick, artfully crumpled sheet metal. Like Jeff Koons' Balloon Dogs, but ones that have lost their plumpness and shrunk with the passage of time. A paradoxical effect, because it's by developing a patented blown-sheet metal technique that he achieves this inflated-deflated effect, rich in relief. Perrotte will also dazzle your eyes with her powerful colors, serving a vigorous line and forms seemingly in conversation. It's like jumping off a 5-meter diving board into a world as scorching as the Perpignan sun, where around every corner of the gallery you'll encounter bull heads, composite faces, and forms playing a game of guessing. And not far away, the ghosts of Miró and Picasso. It's on display, perhaps even worth buying, until the end of March at the FannyArt Gallery, 20 Avenue Bertrand Barere in Tarbes. Don't forget your sunglasses.
