Musique en Hautes-Pyrénées : Biso Muziki
Biso, which means "Us" or "Together" in Lingala, the language spoken in the Democratic Republic of Congo, is a project led by Congolese drummer Chadrack Angela, also known as Chacha Angela. With Biso Muziki, he creates music rooted in African traditions while incorporating contemporary sounds. Through this project, he brings together voices, instruments, and narratives to convey a powerful energy. Supported by a team of exceptional musicians, Biso has managed to create a unique and authentic sound. Chacha sings in Lingala and also plays the balafon, a traditional instrument made of wooden slats and gourds. Gumiso Musendo, originally from Zimbabwe, sings in his native language, Shona.
