Situated at the heart of the ‘World’s Largest Cycling Area®’, close to eleven legendary mountain passes, La Toussuire is a true paradise for cyclists. With nearly sixty road cycling routes and around twenty FFC-certified mountain bike trails, it offers an exceptional playground for all levels, from occasional cyclists to experienced riders.

The La Toussuire plateau also opens out onto gentle, accessible mountains, perfect for hiking. Starting from the resort or after a short lift ride, the trails allow you to discover unspoilt nature, a rich variety of flora and fauna, and spectacular panoramic views. From family walks to multi-day treks, there’s a route to suit everyone’s pace. The mountain pastures and surrounding hills also provide an ideal setting for trail running.

The mountain range’s heritage is also one of the area’s treasures. The commune’s sixteen hamlets are home to numerous Baroque churches and mountain chapels, which are open to visitors during the summer months. Near the Chapelle des Villards, you can also discover a mysterious cromlech: a semicircular alignment of twelve standing stones, half-buried in the ground and facing the rising sun. Not to mention the covered fountain that gave its name to the commune of Fontcouverte-La Toussuire.

Younger visitors will enjoy the many events and activities on offer throughout the summer, as well as the themed weeks that punctuate the season. Paragliding, Segways, trout fishing, stand-up paddleboarding, archery, tennis and mini-golf sit alongside more thrilling activities such as tubing, the Big Air Bag, the zip line, Pump Kart, the skatepark and the Touss’Kart, the resort’s latest attraction.
