There are three candidates who could be present in the second round of the 1st constituency of the Hautes-Pyrénées: Marie-Christine SORIN (RN), Sylvie FERRER (UG), and Jean-Bernard SEMPASTOUS (DIV). Will this mean that it will be a three-way race?
In the event of a three-way race, Marie-Christine SORIN's lead and the few votes of the eliminated candidates could give the seat in the 1st constituency of the Hautes-Pyrénées to Marie-Christine SORIN.
But if the third-place candidate, Jean-Bernard SEMPASTOUS, withdraws and gives a voting instruction in favor of Sylvie FERRER, Sylvie FERRER could be elected if Jean-Bernard SEMPASTOUS's voters switch their vote to her. Jean-Bernard Sempastous's position is therefore crucial to changing the balance of power in the first round.
Edit: After announcing Sunday evening that he was staying in the race, Bernard Sempastous announced Monday that he was withdrawing without calling for a vote for Sylvie Ferrer: Thus, each citizen will freely choose, in their heart and conscience, the person who will represent their ideas
