Victoria Klotz
Victoria Klotz was born in 1969 in Alsace.
She graduated from the Beaux-Arts de Toulouse in 1997.
In 1998 she settled in the Pyrenees and focused her practice on an experience of natural territories and animality. Curious about the encounters that men have with the wild side, she is interested in the stories and myths that underlie these encounters. She is passionate about the sciences that nourish the dialogue between humanity and animality: biology, ethnology, archaeology, zoohistory, ethology and ecology.
His work takes the form of observation and listening devices, installations, sculptures, video films, audio tapes, photographs, event proposals. She regularly participates in collective exhibitions (Horizon Art Nature – Massif du Sancy, DreamTime – Temps du Rêve, Chemins d’art en Armagnac, Annecy-Lausanne Naturopolis, Paysages-paysages en Isère…). His interest in the thought of nature leads him to intervene in-situ, within the framework of public commissions, on natural sites or urban spaces (Regional Natural Park of Lorraine, Ministry of Agriculture, Park of the castle of Chaumont sur Loire , artistic course of Arras en Lavedan, University of Pau, ONF Pays basque…).
