How would you describe the Blackstones?
We're four young guys who play rock. Not punk rock, not progressive, not alternative. We just want to call it rock 'n' roll. All four of us are high school students; three of us are from Bagnères, and the guitarist went to Marie-Curie High School in Tarbes this year.
Did the La Gespe talent showcase give the band a boost?
We participated in the showcase three years ago. It's truly an extraordinary experience to work with the professionals at La Gespe and meet other bands. It was really great! And the support from La Gespe allows us to learn a lot and rework our songs.
And what are you expecting from this concert at the Celtic?
It's truly a legendary venue for anyone who loves music. It's not a big venue, but there are always some really good bands playing there. We've played there before, and we're really happy to be back!
What future can we hope for Blackstones?
That's a question we're currently asking ourselves. Above all, we want to play concerts, play together, and have a blast. A few days ago, we played at L'Hippocampe in Bagnères. This Thursday, we're playing Festiv in Toulouse, and over the Ascension weekend, we're playing at the high school video festival at our school in Bagnères. After that, we're waiting to have a few more songs to record an album.
