Public rehearsal of Commis d'office at the Paris

The traditional public rehearsal session at the Pari offered a great opportunity to get a first glimpse of the first residency of the season. A public rehearsal that wasn't really a rehearsal, as director Pitto Campa explained, choosing instead to show the beginning of the first ten minutes of Commis d'office. The encounter in a prison visiting room between an old convict accused of murder and a young court-appointed lawyer who has never pleaded a case. A taster that revealed to the forty or so Tarbes residents who came to the Pari the originality of the directorial choices. Two actors locked away for a closed-door performance over which videos are superimposed, taking us outside or, on the contrary, into the thoughts of the accused. The play of transparency of the veil stretched between the spectators and the actors allows us to move from the video to the stage, and to associate them. A beginning of the show that continued with an interesting dialogue between the audience and the artists of the residency.
