Musique en Hautes-Pyrénées : Vox Bigerri
Vox Bigerri sings a living, moving polyphony, where tradition and creation feed off each other. Immersed in the convivial practice of the spontaneous polyphony which vibrates during the Pyrenean festivals, Vox Bigerri is a choir of five polyphonic singers from southern Europe (Occitanie, Corsica, Sardinia). Created in 2004, the group works in parallel with the collection of songs and know-how. It is a transmission and creation group using traditional, mineral sound as material to develop an innovative approach. In the fluid and vigorous phrasing of the song of the Pyrenees, Vox Bigerri asserts itself today as a major group for polyphony, anchored regionally and with international influence: more than 200 concerts (Toulouse, Paris, Belgium, Italy, Spain, Austria) and nearly 6,000 records sold.
