How would you like to present Hashkina?
It's a rock band first and foremost about having fun, getting together with friends. We don't take ourselves too seriously! We play rock, pop, punk. We mix lots of influences in our songs. I usually write the songs at home and then bring them to the band. It's like a talent show: if it's all the "blues" (referring to the French TV show "Nouvelle Star"), we play the song, if it's all the "reds" (referring to the French TV show "Réunion"), I take it home!
You've played in Tarbes several times now. Do you enjoy coming here?
Yes, because there's a real rock culture in Tarbes, much more so than in Pau. So when we come to Tarbes, we really feel at home. We're playing this weekend with Hashkina but also with The Supermarket. We particularly enjoy coming to the Celtic. With the two concerts, we're going to have some real nights out with friends. We also really appreciate Jean-Louis Abbadie's work. He's a prominent figure in the regional rock scene. I admire his spirit!
What's next for Hashkina?
We're about to finalize our first album. We'd already done an EP, but this one's a rai album with 14 tracks. It took us a year to record. We just need a little more money to finalize the vocals. After that, we'll have to find a small label to release it. So we haven't been looking for concert dates because we wanted to focus on this album.
