In Kandersteg im Kandertal you have the choice between two ski areas: Oeschinensee and Sunnbüel. Both areas are small but offer very nice slopes as well as great viewpoints and plenty of activities for children. In Oeschinensee, the cable car takes you directly from Kandersteg into the ski area up to 1,700 m. The little ones can have fun in the Oeschiland snow garden and on the toboggan run leading into the valley. The mountain restaurant Berghôtel delights gourmets and offers a beautiful view of the surroundings. In the Sunnbüel ski area, ski touring enthusiasts as well as skiers can have a blast up to almost 2,000 m above sea level. The area also offers ideal conditions for families with mostly easy or intermediate slopes and mountain restaurants that are particularly welcoming to children. You also have two snowshoe hiking trails allowing you to explore the surrounding landscapes in peace. You can rent snowshoes at the top station. In addition, the Gemmi altitude path offers you the opportunity to stroll through the heart of captivating landscapes. This route starts from the Sunnbüel lift and takes around 3 hours. It arrives near the top station of the Gemmi ski lift at 2,322 m above sea level. Superb panoramas and invigorating air are guaranteed!
