Located on the Massif du Grand-Colombier, between Ain and Haute-Savoie, the Nordic area of ​​Sur-Lyand / Grand Colombier is a friendly resort, nestled in a preserved natural setting, it allows the practice of many outdoor activities and this, whatever the season. Perched at an altitude of 1250 meters with a highest point at 1350 meters, the Nordic area of ​​Sur-Lyand / Grand Colombier offers a unique panorama of Mont-Blanc, the chain of the Alps or the various alpine lakes. In winter, the Nordic area of ​​Sur-Lyand / Grand Colombier offers 17 kilometers of cross-country ski trails, laid out for the practice of alternative skiing and skating, as well as 30 kilometers of snowshoe routes and a toboggan run with a breathtaking view of the Alps. A rental space is open during the winter period every day from 9:30 am to 5 pm. You can rent skis, boots, snowshoes, sleds and buy your ski and snowshoeing pass. A 100-seat picnic room is available to the public during the winter season. In summer, take advantage of a network of hiking trails to access the Grand Colombier pass and its cross. A permanent orienteering race has been set up to discover the beauty of this place, as well as soon, a marked route for mountain biking. At the start of these activities, comfortably seated on the panoramic terrace, you can taste the specialties of the restaurant, the Belvédère de Sur-Lyand, enjoying an exceptional view. Since 2015, the Nordic domain has obtained the 2 Sapins label from Nordic France for the quality of its services.
