Earplugs were out in force Wednesday night at La Gespe for a tightly packed hardcore lineup. The concert kicked off with a high-energy set from Toulouse's Alea Jacta Est, blending metal and punk rock. They then handed the stage over to genre icons Sick Of It All, who treated the Tarbes crowd to a superb set of hardcore straight from the outskirts of New York. A solid mix of tracks that have forged the band's explosive reputation, built on the half-dozen albums they've released over their thirty-year career. And especially tracks from their latest album, Last Act of Defiance. The concert was overflowing with energy, heavily distorted guitar and bass, and Lou Koller's vocals pushed to their absolute limits. All of this was driven at breakneck speed by the four band members, much to the delight of the La Gespe crowd, who were practically moshing!

Big sound at La Gespe with Sick of it all
A beautiful and consistent concert for the audience at La Gespe who came to listen to and see Sick Of It All.
